LAHORE, May 21: Four provincial ministers announced here on Wednesday that the government would resolve maximum problems of its low paid officials.

Ministers Arshad Lodhi, Raja Basharat, Hasnain Bahadar Dareshak and Sibtain Khan were speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the new office-bearers of the Civil Secretariat Staff Car Drivers, DRs and Mechanics Association here at the secretariat’s committee room.

Mr Lodhi administered the oath and said the drivers were like family members, sharing even secrets of their bosses. The Quaid-i-Azam used to respect his driver who was decorated after his death.

He said most of the problems cited by their president Ghulam Mustafa Butt were genuine and would be forwarded to the chief minister for their resolution.

Raja Basharat said the demand of giving overtime to the staff attached with the ministers during the assembly sessions was genuine and would be accepted.

Mr Dareshak and Mr Khan also assured full support to the low-paid staff. — Staff Reporter
