LAKKI MARWAT, April 21: The families of Saifullah brothers and Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf leader Khan Bahadar Marwat ended their differences here on Sunday.

Both the families, belonging to Ghaznikhel, were at loggerheads with each other for the last several years. The differences and bad terms were not favourable to Saifullah brothers because Khan Bahadar was a constant threat to their political influence in the district, especially in their native constituency.

Local elders including Shah Sahib of Samandar, Hakim Asghar and others sensed the gravity of the situation and started reconciliatory efforts. Their efforts proved fruitful as both the families agreed to bury their differences.

On Sunday, Humayun Saifullah Khan, Salim Saifullah Khan and Anwar Saifullah Khan embraced Khan Bahadar Marwat in the presence of elders and supporters of both the families and residents of Ghaznikhel and adjacent villages.

They pledged that they would utilise their energies for the betterment of the people of the area in the future.

Saifullah brothers praised Khan Bahadar for his willingness to end the differences and reestablish ties between both the families.

They said that the elders should use their influence to patch up disputes among other tribes and individuals to promote harmony and brotherhood in the area.
