THIS is apropos of the news report (June 4) regarding curriculum development for five regional languages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The simple fact is that some people missed the train at the initial stage and now they want to sabotage and subvert the implementation process of compulsory education in the mother tongue.

Whether it is the KP Textbook Board or the Directorate of Curriculum, it is not possible to consult all people in the speech community of any language.

This is good news that primers are being printed and curriculum development is in the process of review.

I do salute the experts of the KP government for facilitating and scrutinising the process. I am sure the negative thinking and biased approach of a few persons will not be able to subvert or revert the good work done by the government and its relevant agencies/departments.
