AL KHALIL, (West Bank) Dec 10: An Israeli helicopter strike killed two young Palestinians, including a toddler, in the West Bank on Monday as both sides urged a frustrated US peace envoy to continue a mission marred by constant violence.

Israel said the target of the attack on a car in Al Khalil was a leader of the Islamic Jihad group.

Mohammed Sidr, the Jihad leader, sustained shrapnel wounds and burns in the attack and was expected to recover, said Gandhi Tamimi, the doctor who treated him in an Al Khalil hospital.
