Two killed in police firing

QUETTA, May 13: A truck driver and a cleaner were killed allegedly in police firing on Tuesday on Sariab Road.

A relative of the deceased, Kamal Khan, told newsmen in Civil Hospital that driver Khuda Nazar and cleaner Gul Baran were killed when policemen fired on their Mazda truck near the Degree College.

Dr Amin Mengal of the casualty unit in the hospital said the bodies had bullet injuries. District Police Officer Rehmatullah Khan Niazi told this correspondent that an inquiry was being conducted into the incident and the cause of death could be determined after the receipt of medical report.—Correspondent
