SHIKARPUR, May 13: Following the killing of the SHO, Karn Sharif police station, Mir Mohammad Chachar, during an encounter with dacoits, four policemen, including an ASI, have been arrested for cowardice and negligence in duty on Monday.
ASI Muzaffar Mangi and constables Jungal Buriro, Deedar Hussain Khokhar and Ali Mohammad were arrested under the Police Order 2002 and put in the lock-up.
The DPO, Shikarpur, gave Rs25,000 to Abdul Rehman Chachar, the son of the SHO killed, from police funds. Besides, he announced Rs300,000 for the SHO’s family.
