Imran Khan should have been very careful in making a serious allegation without any evidence. I agree that rigging should be investigated in a fair and transparent manner. However, criticising judiciary and election commission is not fair and right. I would urge IK to be pragmatic and respect the institutions. Ik should provide the evidence of rigging and challenge it in the court if it is necassary. I am confident that he will get the justice.

Election 2013 in Pakistan was neither free nor fair. 100% rigging and was planned set up organized by the foreign elements against their anti-supporters. Any protest campaign will not help anyone else top bring justice in this manner. Our justice department can only sought but have no power for implementations of laws. Present Election commission are the bunch of fraudulent, in not, then why they didn't organized election process similarly held re-elections in some of the constituencies in presence of Army inside and out side the polling stations. If these re-elections becomes possible then why not all others from the beginnings? Until we come out from the pressures of foreign elements a free and fair election will be a dream never become possible in our country.

He has asked for recount and verification of thumb impressions in case of 4 constituencies and that must be done to establish credibility and make rigging impossible in future elections. What's baffling about it mate? In 97 the Pakistani population was around 130 million, while it is about 182 million today. That's 52 million more people. Add to that the fact that the voting age was lowered by your buddy ol pal Musharraf to 18, and you have an explanation for why the PMLN's vote bank has increased.

PTI... please... PTI. Where is the grace, or what we call losing with dignity. It only proves old saying that "grapes are sour". It saddens me when I hear coming this from PTI folks. Why it baffles you that PMLN got more votes in 2013 than 1997. Let me share with you my small experience. I did not vote for anybody in 1997 while i was 26. However this time i especially flew with my entire family from abroad to Pakistan and we voted enbloc for PMLN because we wanted to contribute our part in the change that we all want to bring to Pakistan. Trust me Mr. Khan I am not the only one who voted for PMLN, there are many many more who voted for PMLN and when you keep on crying "rigging rigging...." it is like an insult to our right of vote. Your claim is akin to that any vote that went to a non-PTI candidate was rigging. Please Mr. Khan if you are a true captain, please let your team learn to lose with dignity which is a very important part of any character. Please PTI, please, stop this. Let me take this opportunity to share my few thoughts with my PTI brothers and sisters. It is more important if you try to make an independent and objective assessment of PTI's dismal election performance than to add to the disillusion your rank and file by claiming such excuses. I am sure PTI think tank would have done this, however, please do not misguide the rank and file. Trust these people they will stay with you not because of rigging but because of your performance in KPK and National Assembly. PTI, please, now it is time to demonstrate how you can translate your vision to real hard ground work in KPK. To take to the streets as a protest for poll rigging is too late. When people were spending nights and media were showing proofs of rigging, PTI did not come up with a proper plan. Yes, poll rigging should be investigated, if there is a proof it should be brought to the legal forum and in the future electronic voting should be pushed for. PTI missed an opportunity when it did not push hard for the right of voting to overseas Pakistanis, not realizing the fact in time that they are missing a large vote bank. Rightly so, now it is high time that bureacracy, NAB, police and other institutions should be made independent. PTI should make an effort in this regard.

Important that people confidence in the electoral process is restored. Our issue is we raise issues, but never fix them, hence we continue to live with issues and they become even mroe grave. Therefor all steps which ensures that process is made fool proof must be supported. Today process is dependent on who is the CEC,other members, who is conducting elections etc.. This by definition is flawed. The entire process must be made as less dependent on people and more dependent on technology. Second any process where you cannot trace back the faults,mistakes, fraud is a wrong process. Hence the entire process must be looked at with a view to eliminate possibility of "Lack of tracing ability". I support any effort to restore confidence of people on ballots. Like everything else, our confidence in our system is extremely low and electoral process is no exception. This business of "Moving ON" without fixing the root causes is one of the key reasons for apathy galore all around. WE cannot, must not move on with any issue, unless causes identified, fixes are done in a way that we see serious improvement. This approach is completely missing in our thinking and decision making process. Whether deliberate or inadvertent, I leave the choice open. If PTI is serious about driving this change, they need to define a clear objective, outcome expected, time frame. Expecting people to come out without such basic definitions, will be a real tough job, as election momentum is now over. The window of Election momentum PTI has already lost.

Reading the comments here proves why we as a nation are so backward. To improve a system, first you have to accept and prove that there is something wrong with it. knowing the problem helps to improve the system and would eventually guide a nation towards a better and more prosperous future. PTI has already accepted defeat but they (and also all other major political parties) have stressed since election that rigging has taken place. Plenty of evidence was brought to us by the media as well. Individuals that were involved in rigging must be punished. This is called rule of law something completely unknown to Pakistan. What Imran Khan is doing is trying to improve the system and bring rule of law to Pakistan.

PTI should face the reality, even Imran staged the lift drama to get sympathy vote he was not able to get vote. Pakistan should not just move on as if nothing happened., If Pakistan has to find it's bearings then a correct answer to what happened on the polling day should be disclosed. Being a PTI supporter does not make you a superior, enlightened and a true patriotic human being. I had only suggested to the PTI folks to ponder on the reasons of its dismal performance. Because, if they wont do that, future may not be different for them. At the same time, I would like to state that it is an ill notion when you imply that only voting for PTI would mean one values democracy, transparency and accountability. We need to grow up and behave like mature and responsible citizens of a nation which is in distress and dire need. Also, another brotherly suggestion, it is not a time for arguing among ourselves.
