KARACHI, June 4: The pair of Murtaza brothers from Jehanian — Mudassir and Muzammil — annexed double crown apiece in the national juniors’ and seniors’ tennis championship which concluded at Karachi Gymkhana on Tuesday.

Apart from capturing juniors’ under-18 singles and boys’ under-14 singles titles respectively, the brothers teamed up to win the under-18 doubles to share the feat.

Mudassir came from a set down to rout Talha Zubair 3-6, 7-6, 10-8 to seize the under-18 title while his sibling Muzammil swept aside Raza Sawani 6-2, 6-2 to land the under-14 crown.

The brothers duo maintained their supremacy when they handed 7-5, 6-3 defeat on Talha and Nazif Ahmed to claim under-18 doubles.
