LARKANA: Man kills wife

LARKANA, May 11: A 35-year-old woman, Fahmida Khatoon, was beheaded on Sunday after being allegedly tortured by her husband in Fatehpur near Ratodero.

The alleged killer, Mumtaz Ghanghro, had killed Abdul Fatah Ghangro, brother of the deceased, a day before killing his wife.

Neighbours said that Mumtaz had returned home in the night and had dragged his wife towards the fields near his home and had severed her legs, tortured her before severing her head with a sharp instrument.

The dead body of the woman was handed over to her relatives after an autopsy. The nephew of the killer, Hadi Baksh Ghanghro, lodged an FIR against unidentified persons.
