KARACHI, May 22: In the biennial elections of Pakistan Herald Workers Union for 2013-15 held on Wednesday, Rishad Mehmood was elected president and Shafiuddin Ashraf general secretary.

The results of the elections were announced by the union’s election commissioner Habib Khan Ghori.

Other office-bearers who were elected are: Abdul Samad, senior vice president; Abdul Wahab Memon, junior vice president; Ghulam Fariduddin, joint secretary; and Kazim Raza, finance secretary. Aziz-ur-Rahman was elected unopposed to the post of information secretary.

The members of the executive committee, also elected unopposed, are: Moosa Kaleem, H.M. Farooq Memon, Mehboob Ahmed Ansari, Yousuf Soomro, Muhammad Yousuf Tanoli, Muhammad Riaz, Ghaffar Lasi, Mehmood Lasi and Naushad Hussain.
