KARACHI, May 14: Around 24 suspects were on Tuesday sent to prison by judicial magistrates of district south in cases relating to vote rigging and possession of illicit weapons.

The suspects, including some political activists, were arrested inareas of district south elections material was allegedly found on them.

The magistrates sent the suspects to jail on 14-day judicial remand and directed IOs to submit reports.

Rangers had handed over 14 suspects to the Nabi Bux police station on May 11, seven suspects were booked at the Darakhshan police station and three by the Boat Basin police station.—Staff Reporter
