TIMERGARA, May 13: Deputy chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F and former senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan has said keeping the PTI out of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is in the best interest of the province and its people.

Talking to reporters at Chakdara on Monday, Gul Naseeb said the elected representatives of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were inexperienced to administer the province properly.

The JUI-F leader said mutual understanding, coordination and consensus between provincial and federal governments was necessary. He also remarked that a coalition government of the PML-N, JUI-F, QWP and independents could be formed in the province. “Anything is possible in politics. We can also invite the JI to be part of the coalition,” he opined.

Mr Naseeb said his party had been opposing policies of the PTI, which he added were not aimed at solving problems of the people. He said people of Dir and Buner had shown political maturity, adding all the parties should accept the election results wholeheartedly.

POSTAL BALLOTS: The district returning officer in NA-34 on Monday issued result of postal ballots polled by government employees.

According to the result, a total of 795 postal ballot papers were received out of which Sahibzada Mohammad Yaqub Khan of JI got 451 votes, Mohammad Bashir of PTI 31, Qazi Fazlullah of JUI-F 135, Farid Khan Yousafzai of PML-N 45, Malik Azmat Khan of PPP 18, Azam Khan of ANP 63, Mohammad Umar of QWP 26, while 26 votes were rejected. The NA-34 seat was won by JI candidate with 46,968 votes, defeating PTI candidate by a margin of only 1,465 votes.

DEMAND: Former district secretary information of PML-N Bahramand Syed on Monday demanded of Mian Nawaz Sharif to accommodate the party’s defeated leader Amir Muqam at the centre.

Talking to reporters at Timergara Press Club, he said Mr Muqan organised the PML-N in Malakand division and also sacrificed his home town seat of Shangla where he fielded his brother.
