ISLAMABAD, May 6: President of People’s Party Parliamentarians Makhdoom Amin Fahim was briefed on Tuesday on the ongoing government-opposition talks over the Legal Framework Order issue.

The briefing was given at a special committee meeting held at the party’s central secretariat. The meeting was presided over by Makhdoom Amin Fahim and attended by senator Raza Rabbani, MNA Chaudhry Aitezaz Ahsan, senator Latif Khosa and senator Farooq Naik, a statement issued by the party secretariat said.

The meeting reviewed the status of the talks held on Monday between the combined opposition and the government on the LFO issue.

Chaudhry Aitezaz Ahsan and senator Latif Khosa, who are representing their party in the negotiations, briefed Makhdoom Amin Fahim about Monday’s talks.

The meeting expressed concern over the fact that the ordinances and laws for which validation was sought under the LFO from parliament, had not been provided to the opposition.
