HYDERABAD, April 16 Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Army and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) all triumphed in the three NBP National Football Challenge Cup (NFCC) matches played at the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Stadium on Thursday.

KPT thrashed DFA Hyderabad 6-0 in Group 'D' when their striker Abdul Rehman scored the event's first hat-trick (20th, 78th and 83rd minutes). The remaining three goals were scored by Naseer Ahmed (55th min), Zahid Ahmed (73rd min) and Junaid Qadir (85th min).

In the two Group 'B' matches played on the day, Army edged past Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) 2-1 and PIA beat Pakistan Steel 6-1.

Army owed its win to Imran Hussain who scored both their goals in the 33rd and 86th minutes. SSGC's goal too came from Army in the shape of an own goal by Ijaz Ahmed in the 22nd minute.

In the other match, PIA's star striker Shakir Lashari too earned a hat-trick by scoring as many as four goals (22nd, 23rd, 58th and 67th mins) with Abdul Jabbar and Zeeshan Ali adding two more in the 33rd and 74th minutes, respectively. Pakistan Steel's consolation goal was scored by Abdul Wahab in the 62nd minute.

Friday's fixtures KRL v SGP at 9.30am; NBP v KESC at 3.00pm, PAF v HBL at 5.00pm.—Agencies
