KARACHI, April 10 National junior champion Mohammad Ahsan Javaid conjured up emphatic win over Iraqi opponent while his two other compatriots Asjad Iqbal and Mohammad Ishtiaq lost their respective matches in the 11th Asian Under-21 snooker championship in Indore on Saturday.

According to results, Ahsan, who lost the opener to Indian Mundir Sherazi 1-3 on Friday, recovered to beat Taha Yassin Mohamed of Iraq convincingly 54-6, 61-24, 77-69.

Asjad Iqbal, a former national junior champion, and Mohammad Ishtiaq who triumphed the other day, tasted their first defeat in contrasting style.

Thailand's Yuttapop Pakpoj chalked up 3-0 win over Asjad the results being 68-18, 81-24, 59-21. The Thai also cracked a fluent break of 55 in the first frame.

Iran's Lababi interrupted the winning run of Ishtiaq when he overcame his opponent in the fully stretched battle 3-2. The Iranian was home 48-66, 71-13, 1-64, 71-9, 48-38.

The three Pakistani cueists now have a win and a defeat under their belts. The league matches concludes on Sunday.
