Aisam in Busan tennis quarters

LAHORE, May 14 Pakistan's top tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi faced some resistance from Tasuku Iwami of Japan before entering the quarter-finals of International Busan Open ATP Challenger Tennis Championship in Busan, Korea.

Aisam completed the win in straight sets 7-6 (5), 6-4 but it took him one hour 30 minutes to come out as winner.In the first set, Aisam was leading 4-2 before the Japanese staged a comeback to take lead by 5-4. He was also at serve but Aisam managed to break it to level the scores 5-5.

From thereon nothing came to Iwami's rescue as Aisam found his rhythm. He took the first set in the tie break with a 7-5 score and then continuing his onslaught, he managed an early break up in the second set and led till the end to grab the set 6-4 and the match.

It was the third encounter between the two players in international tennis with Aisam coming out winner on two occasions. In the quarter-final, Aisam will be facing the fourth-seeded local favorite Korean Davis Cup player, IM Kyu Tae.
