ISLAMABAD, May 15: A man who had allegedly murdered his wife two weeks ago was arrested here on Wednesday, police said.

The accused had committed the murder with a knife on May 2 at a house located in G-7/3-4, and had escaped from the scene. Investigators were able to trace his whereabouts and arrested him during a raid in the rural area of Sihala.

The accused was working in a factory in Sihala where he was hiding since the killing, police added.

During interrogation, he confessed to the killing and told the police that he had doubts about the character of his wife.
