RAWALPINDI, April 17: The driver of a political leader was booked by the Airport Police on Wednesday after a loaded pistol was found from his car at the entry gate of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench.

Ishfaq Ahmed sub-inspector, the investigating officer, revealed that during search of vehicles at a police picket established near the court’s gate, a loaded pistol was recovered from the car of the political leader who is contesting the upcoming general elections.

Though Chaudhry Iftikhar, the politician, was not present in the car at the time, the police arrested the driver Nisar Ahmed and registered a case against him.
