KARACHI, April 16: Nida Dar’s double century helped ZTBL Women beat Faisalabad Region Women by 312 runs in the 8th National Women Cricket Championship at Bagh-i-Jinnah Ground in Lahore on Tuesday.

Winning the toss, ZTBL elected to bat first and made 391 runs for the loss of five wickets in the 50 overs. Nida Dar made 204 off 135 balls. She also hit 31 fours. Meanwhile, Mariam Hasan contributed 59 and Batool Fatima remained not out on 53.

In reply Faisalabad were all out for 79 in 37.2 overs. Their highest scorer was Mariam Akbar who made 16 runs off 75 balls. Nida Dar was declared the Player of the Match.

In the day’s other match played at the Ittefaq Cricket Ground, also in Lahore, Lahore Region Women beat Rawalpindi Region Women by 99 runs. Lahore won the toss and elected to bat first. They made 226 for the loss of nine wickets in the 50 overs. Marina Khan made 50, Sidra Nawaz and Bakhtawar Iqbal got 33 each while Sabahat Rasheed remained not out on 21.

In reply, Rawalpindi was dismissed for 127 in 44.1 overs. Bakhtawar Iqbal was declared the Player of the Match.
