Cop booked for theft

TAXILA, Dec 2: The Wah Saddar police, on Sunday, booked a fellow police officer on charges of theft. He was involved in stealing cash and other valuables, during a raid at a house, on the pretext of searching for narcotics.

Sources said that Sub inspector, Sheikh Mohammad Aslam, during the raid, at Losar Sharfoo, June 20, recovered narcotics and during the “search” of the house, allegedly, took away cash worth Rs0.17 million, gold ornaments and other valuables. The cop also booked two women involved in narcotics, during the raid.—Correspondent
