KARACHI, Sept 27: Water supply to the city from the Hub dam was restored on Thursday.

The supply was stopped after a 200-foot-wide breach developed in the Hub canal between Saturday and Sunday night, creating a water crisis in Baldia Town, SITE, Manghopir, Orangi and some areas of district west.

The cracks had developed because of the weakening of embankments on both sides after the monsoon rains.—Staff Reporter
