TAXILA, Aug 8: The police on Wednesday claimed to have busted three gangs of outlaws involved in car, motorcycle theft and house burglaries.

SP Potohar division Syed Haseeb Shah at a press conference said the police recovered stolen vehicles four motorcycles, three pistols and valuables worth Rs2.80 million from them.

Earlier, Taxila police on Tuesday busted a gang involved in robberies and arrested its five members besides recovering booty worth Rs2 million.

According to police, the five-member gang looted the house of Javaid Akhtar in Awanabad locality at gunpoint and fled away with gold, laptops, Pakistani, Saudi and Chinese currencies worth Rs2 million on August 1.

A team led by Inspector Sardar Shakeel Ahmed traced the culprits involved in the dcaoity and arrested Ali Raza, Ihtasham Hameed, Asim Ali Khan, Ubaid Ijaz and Hassan Shah all teenage dacoits and recovered the booty.
