The third day was marred by delays due to rain, and marked by slumps in playing by previous tournament winners like Li Na and Caroline Wozniacki. Even 5th-seeded Samantha Stosur bowed out despite winning more points. Over at the men’s side, both Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer advanced with relative ease. – Photos by Agencies
