ATTOCK, April 20: Hundreds of people staged a protest demonstration at Attock-Fatehjang Road on Friday against unscheduled electricity load shedding spanning up to 20 hours.

The residents of different localities including students and shopkeepers blocked the road and chanted slogans against the government for its failure to reduce load shedding even at the start of the summer season.

Expressing their views, many of the protesters said that the people were getting frustrated due to restless days and sleepless nights. The situation, they said, was worst in the hospitals where the patients could not avail themselves of many facilities like x-rays,   CT scan and others due to the 20-hour power outages. — Correspondent
