LAHORE, Jan 16: A 51st minute goal by Jawad Riaz helped Punjab Whites drew their 31st U-21 National Hockey Championship match 1-1 against PHF Academy at the National Hockey Stadium here on Monday.

After the goalless first half, the Academy opened their account through Awaisur-Rehman, who crowned a field effort in the 41st minute.

Ten minutes later, Punjab Whites responded through Jawad, who converted a penalty-stroke to restore the parity.

Punjab Colours, however, registered a facile 4-1 win against Railways as their skipper Mohammad Mushtaq found the net twice.

He hit the board in the 15th, converting a penaltystroke and in the 25th minute, cashing in on penalty-corner.

Sui Southern Gas Company defeated Army 31 in the third match of the day.

Qayyum Dogar (25th), Zahid (43rd) and Arsalan Haider (53rd) were the scorers for the winners.

Wapda recovered to hold National Bank of Pakistan 2-2.
