SHIKARPUR, Jan 2: Four people, including a woman, were killed in two different incidents in the district on Sunday night.

Mehboob Ali Shar gunned down his son Dilshad Shar and his wife Shahida in Sharan-ji-Wandh village in the Tajo Dero area.

Shahida was killed on pretext of karo-kari while her husband received bullet wounds when Mehboob opened fire at her.

In another incident, armed men opened fire at a car on Chak–Jahan Khan road near Abdu village, killing its occupants Abdul Qadeer Sethar and Zawar Sethar. Ghulam Ali Sethar and driver Farhan Shah received bullet injuries.

The injured were removed to Chak and Sukkur hospitals.

No FIRs could be registered till Monday evening.

Our Sukkur correspondent adds: A woman was killed on pretext of karo-kari in Kaddu Jagirani village near Rohri late on Sunday night.

Dadoo Jagirani had been suspecting his wife Ana, 20, of illicit relations with a man of the same area. Dadoo, with the help of his brother Yaseen Jagirani, opened fire and shot her dead.

Police took the body to Rohri taluka hospital and, after post-mortem, handed it over to mother of deceased.
