KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday issued notices to the country’s top political and military leadership in the Mehran base attack case, DawnNews reported.

The petitioner, Haji Gul Mohammad, argued that the May 22 attack on Mehran base in Karachi was a failure of the government, the state’s security apparatus and its intelligence institutions.

The petitioner had made the president, prime minister and heads of intelligence and armed forces respondents and asked the court to fix responsibilities for the negligence.

Subsequently, a two-member divisional bench of the SHC, comprising Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Imam Bukhsh, issued notices to the respondents.
