KHAIRPUR, May 20: The body of a minor girl with a rope round her neck was found in a vacant autaq (guesthouse) in a Sain Dad Solangi village near Sethrja town on Friday.
Firdous Solangi, 7, went out of her home to play in the street on Thursday and did not return till late in the evening. When her relatives searched for her in the village they found her body with a rope tied round the neck in a vacant autaq.
Setharja police took the body into custody and later handed it over to relatives after post mortem.
The relatives said they did not have any enmity with anybody. According to police, the girl might have been strangulated to death with a rope.
In another incident, Aslam Jagirani, 9, drowned in Abul Wah near Kot Pul after he slipped into the canal while playing on the bank on Thursday evening. His body was found floating in Baharo minor canal on Friday.
