ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday reiterated the government’s commitment to fully support the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

“The government and the people of Pakistan will endorse all peaceful efforts by the Kashmiri leadership to achieve their goals,” PM Gilani said.

The Prime Minister expressed these views during his meeting with President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Zulqarnain Khan, AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan and Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, prior to the oath taking ceremony of newly-elected members of AJK Council here at the PM House.

The Prime Minister said that his government would continue to support the AJK government for the continuity of democratic process.

He hoped that the newly elected members of AJK Council would serve their people and the Kashmir cause with full commitment and dedication.

The President and the Prime Minister AJK thanked Prime Minister Gillani for his support as Chairman of AJK Council.

Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo apprised the Prime Minister about matters pertaining to his ministry.
