LAHORE, March 22: Civil Lines police have arrested Sattokatla sub-inspector Nazeer Husain for defective investigation and registered a case against him under Section 155/C of the Police Order 2002.

The action was taken against the sub-inspector on the directions of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen who found him guilty of charges during preliminary investigation.

The police official was accused of preparing a supplementary report of a case registered with the Sattokatla police station under sections 302 and 392 of the PPC.

He allegedly gave favour to the complainant of the case by mentioning recovery items, including cash,

in the supplementary report which he claimed were recovered from the accused of the robbery-murder case. — Staff Reporter
