SHIKARPUR, Jan 3: A gang of armed men kidnapped a woman and her daughter after attacking their house in Masandpur Muhalla here on Monday.
The armed men, 34 in number and including Qasim Bahyo, Lashoo Bahyo, Liaqat Bahyo and Raja Bhayo, attacked the houses of Noor Hassan Golo and his brother Meer Hassan Golo and kidnapped Meer Hassan’ wife Hurmat, 40, and her daughter Shabana, 12, said Noor Hassan in an FIR lodged at Stuart Ganj police station.
Police have arrested a number of suspects. The motive behind the attack and kidnapping is said to be the Bahyos’ suspicions that the Golos were involved in kidnapping of a woman of their community.
