Footballer dead

KARACHI, Dec 11: Former Pakistan football team captain and member Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) selection committee Sheikh Ghulam Rabbani passed away on Friday.

Having represented Pakistan and Pak Mughal FC from 1953 to 1962, Rabbani launched the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) football team in the late '60s. Pak Mughal FC, under his captaincy, won the national championship four times for Punjab in the '50s.
