KARACHI, Oct 18: The City School (Darakhshan Campus) recorded a formidable 46-24 win against Generations School to reach the AKU Inter-school U-17 Basketball Tournament quarter-finals at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium here on Sunday.

Nabeel Hassan was the standout performer for The City School with 21 points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Steel Cadet College also confirmed their place in the last-eight stage after achieving a 51-47 win over Beaconhouse School System (PECHS). Tanzeel Abbas (21 points) played well for the winning side.

Shah Wilayat Public School overpowered British International School 39-36 to qualify for the quarter-finals. Mohammad Abbas (16 points) excelled for the victors.

In the meantime, Jaffar Public School outplayed The City School (Gulshan) 22-9. Ahmed Asif (14) was the top scorer for the winning team.—Agencies
