HYDERABAD, Sept 1: Flash flood continued to safely flow across Kotri Barrage on Wednesday.

A flow of 791,790 cusec was recorded upstream while downstream flow was 780795 cusec. Sukkur Barrage is having a medium flood of 541,550 cusec at upstream while at downstream it is 496180 cusec. The flow at Guddu Barrage upstream is 457,766 cusec and 442,643 cusec at downstream.

Meanwhile, rains lashed Hyderabad in the evening for a few minutes and broke the dry spell that had gripped the city in the last couple of days. Sky was heavily overcast on Wednesday. Our Nawabshah correspondent adds:

Nawabshah and surrounding areas received rains followed by a windstorm on Wednesday.

Nawabshah, Jam Saheb, Qazi Ahmed, Nawab Wali Mohammed, Sakrand and other areas received rains followed by a windstorm.

Weather turned pleasant bringing an end to hot and humid spell which had been continuing for a couple of days.

Electricity poles and trees were uprooted in city, causing electricity failure.
