KOHAT, June 27 A man was injured and his house partially damaged in rocket attacks by militants on Kohat city on late Friday night.

The police said that militants fired three rockets from an unknown location in the city. Two of them exploded in a plot near gate 2 of KDA Township causing no damage.

One rocket hit a house in Sheri Mela area of Jungle Khel in which a man identified as Mohammad Ahmed was injured.

He was rushed to KDA hospital for treatment. Officials of police and bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and collected evidence.

The security forces retaliated by targeting hideouts of militants in the mountains of Darra Adam Khel with artillery fire, which continued for several hours. —Correspondent
