KARACHI, April 4 The country`s top players will get an opportunity to come out with their best performance when the three back-to-back national ranking tennis tournaments carrying a total purse of Rs0.7 million begin from April 12.

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has accorded necessary permission to the hosts in this regard.

According to details, the Punjab Governor`s Cup will run at Faisalabad from April 12 to 19 followed by another national ranking tournament at Rahim Yar Khan from April 20 to 26. Both the events carry a purse of Rs0.2 million apiece.

The Sindh Tennis Association (STA) will play host to the third competition in the city. Originally, it was scheduled to take place from April 27 to May 3 but the organisers are requesting the PTF to reschedule the event for three to four weeks due to some unavoidable circumstances.

Information gathered by Dawn revealed that a purse of Rs0.3 million will be at stake in the STA event with men`s singles winner set to get richest ever prize money of rupees one lakh.
