Kassam Teli new KCCI president

KARACHI, Sept 30: Siraj Kassam Teli has been elected president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mohammad Saeed Shafiq and Hamid Nisar have been elected vice-president and senior vice-president, respectively, of the chamber.

The 42nd Annual General Meeting of the KCCI was held here on Tuesday to mark the induction of new office-bearers, besides approving the audited statement of accounts and adopting the annual report.

The meeting was initially presided over by outgoing president Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo and thereafter by newly-elected president Siraj Kassam Teli.

Returning officer M. Nazir Ali announced the results of members of the Managing Committee as well as office-bearers.

The following were declared elected members of the Managing Committee — Member class: Siraj Kassam Teli, Iftikhar Ahmed, Sohail Mansoor, Imran Saeed Baghpatee, Mohammad Saeed Shafiq, M. Iqbal Mangrani, Abdul Majeed, Mansoor Ilyas, Iftikhar Ahmed Shaikh, S. Javed Iqbal Magoon, Aamir Abdullah Zaki, Junaid Ismail Makda, Dr Arshad A. Vohra and Zia Ahmed Khan. Mohammad Yaqub Nagaria has been elected to town association seat.
