RAWALPINDI, Feb 26: Cases have been registered against three activists of Laskhar-i-Jhangvi for leaving their hometown without prior permission of police, it is learnt.

The LJ activists had been barred under the Anti-Terrorism Act from leaving their hometown without informing police, but Iftikhar Ahmed and Rais Ahmed, who hailed from Attock, and Mureed Hussain, who belonged to Chakwal, were found missing from their homes.

Regional Police Officer Mohammad Zubair ordered police officers to trace the activists and bring them back.

Mureed Hussain was later arrested and detained for 30 days. Iftikhar Ahmed and Rais Ahmed are still missing.
