KARACHI: Police has reportedly obtained the records of phone calls from the numbers used by the two key suspects in the Shahzeb Khan murder case, DawnNews reported.

Moreover, the SIM cards used by the key suspects — Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur — had not been registered in their own names, DawnNews quoted sources as saying.

Records moreover show that the suspects had gotten in touch with their parents immediately after Khan's murder, sources said.

Later on, the two made calls on six other numbers whose records the police was working to obtain.

Moreover, the police also dispatched a report comprising of the witnesses' statements as well as circumstantial evidence to certain top officials.

Earlier on Friday, police had raided the houses of the suspects in Karachi and Hyderabad but had failed to arrest any of them.

Khan was gunned down on Dec 25, 2012 in Karachi and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken a suo motu notice in this case.
