KARACHI: Police has reportedly obtained the records of phone calls from the numbers used by the two key suspects in the Shahzeb Khan murder case, DawnNews reported.

Moreover, the SIM cards used by the key suspects — Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur — had not been registered in their own names, DawnNews quoted sources as saying.

Records moreover show that the suspects had gotten in touch with their parents immediately after Khan's murder, sources said.

Later on, the two made calls on six other numbers whose records the police was working to obtain.

Moreover, the police also dispatched a report comprising of the witnesses' statements as well as circumstantial evidence to certain top officials.

Earlier on Friday, police had raided the houses of the suspects in Karachi and Hyderabad but had failed to arrest any of them.

Khan was gunned down on Dec 25, 2012 in Karachi and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken a suo motu notice in this case.

Dear Reality Check, you are right but in my opinion your comment is little too rude.

a good step but the life of polio workers was not worth a suo moto notice ?? those poor girls died of saving the lives of coming generation and challenged the TTP terrorists.

The killers of polio victims are anonymous. The suspects in the Shahzeb case are known. Please don't compare the two.
AK Jan 05, 2013 08:23am
Please do not try to mix this two total different cases. Life of polio workers was equally worth but they were gunned down by Taliban whom already wanted in hundreds of killing cases and Police and other agencies are already putting their full efforts in catching them to completely eliminate this TTP gang.

Good step. But the point is step taken now are all useless because according to the reports coming in, culprits already left the country and FIA got no information of their departure because if you have got links in FIA which these people should have FIA wont stamp exit entry to the passport and enter any detail of person leaving Pakistan. They just need money to do it and its all part of Sindhi Goverment corruption

The Police became active after warning rcvd from SC....what is the use of such belated action when it is expected that the suspects have fled out of the country ? their name was put on ECL aftyer the tweo accused fled the country...this is Pakistan where even though person on ECL can fly as & when they want....
Nony Jan 05, 2013 09:02am
they are and will always remain anonymous because none there in SC and GHQ ready to name them, they call them "faceless".

These feudals kill people, rape women and atc in a brutal way in interior sindh, punjab and balochistan and they get away with all those sins, reason the gap in our urban and rural society. if Shahzeb is brutally murdered in khi, not a concern for anyone in dadu, when a 6 year old girl raped in umerkot by same feudals, not a concern anyone in khi. Anyways, I am glad this is first time these brutal feudals are facing music. hope this case and sacrifice of Shahzeb proves as a first step for elimination of remains of feudal system from all over pakistan rather than just a news for a couple of days.

Only in Pakistan where these kind of things happen. Get rid of corruption and the nation would never be confronted with these kind of of situations anymore, till then good luck.

Murder is murder. Every body is entitled to justice. But cheif justice will not suomoto over polio workers murder is that their is no point scoring. No PTI trolls will not cheer along.

Following a fair trial the killers should be hanged.

FIA stands for Federal Investigative Agency and is not under the authority of any province. Corruption has been rampant in all parts of the country and that too since the inception of this country. I don't know why you decided to isolate the "sindhi government's corruption" in this case. Its cause of racist idiots like you that this country is in the crapper.

Even if they have fled the country, their lives will be miserable. their names & photos are all over the Pakistani media and may be international media also. It is not easy for any fugitive to spent life like a free man. They will suffer a lot in rest of their lives even if they are never caught.
