ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani on Thursday said that he will appear before the Supreme Court on Friday along with coalition partners in the law and order case.

Addressing a press conference, the chief minister said the provincial government has full support of all its allied parties and he would present his position on the case before the apex court.

“We will appear before the court and defend ourselves according to law and constitution,” he remarked.

Strongly refuting the allegation that the he was not taking interest in the provincial affairs, he said that he was discharging his duties in letter and spirit and his government was serving the masses well.

Raisani also dispelled the impression being created by certain elements regarding inefficiency of his government. He said that his government is enjoying full support and confidence of the people in the province.

Responding to a question, the Balochistan chief minister said that the provincial government was not unsuccessful adding that record numbers of development projects were carried out in the province during his tenure.

Commenting on reports of his suspension from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), he said his party membership was not suspended adding that no one could do that.

He also invited the journalist community to visit Balochistan to see for themselves the steps taken by the provincial government for development and prosperity of the province.

Speaking about aircraft purchase, he said the plane was purchased for official use of the CM and Governor and not for personal usage of any individual.
