KARACHI: It was a good day for the armed forces in the Pakistan Premier Football League on Saturday as Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Army chalked up crucial victories.

Imran Ali and Mohammad Mujahid scored in each half as PAF beat Wapda 2-0 at the Railways Football Stadium in Lahore.

Army triumphed by the same score-line when a brace by Ansar Abbas helped them to victory over basement club Wohaib FC at the Fame Football Ground in Lahore.

Sunday’s fixture: PIA v HBL (Korangi Baloch Ground, Karachi).
