KARACHI: At least two people were killed and several injured in incidents of firing in different areas of Karachi, DawnNews reported on Saturday.

One person was shot dead near the city's Dalmia graveyard while the other was killed near Lalazar in the city's Gulshan-i-Iqbal neighbourhood.

Moreover, unknown arsonists set fire to two offices of Sunni Tehrik, a religio-political party, in the city's Lines Area neighbourhood. The incident led to tension in the area.

Residents of the area said incidents of firing had been taking place in the neighbourhood for the past two days. They said the police had been informed however no action was taken from their end.

A spokesman for the party strongly condemned the incident.
