LAHORE, Sept 14: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) is holding entrance test for admissions to undergraduate programmes in engineering institutions in Punjab on Sunday (Sept 19).

As many as 36,569 candidates have registered themselves across Pakistan for appearing for the test.

The test will be held simultaneously at UET Lahore; UET Taxila; BZU Engineering College, Multan; Islamia University, Bahawalpur; NFC Institute of Engineering Research and Fertilizer, Faisalabad; University of Gujrat; Siddeeq Public School, 6th Road Satellite Town, Rawalpindi; NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar; and Balochistan Boys Scout Association Office.

The UET has advised all candidates to reach at their designated test centres at least one hour before the commencement of the test.

According to a break-up of candidates, as many as 14,183 candidates will appear for the entrance test at UET Lahore centre; while 3,417 candidates will appear in Texila; 6,098 in Multan; 1,730 in Bahawalpur; 3,077 in Faisalabad; 1,794 in Gujrat; 3,793 in Rawalpindi; 1,169 in Karachi; 1,117 in Peshawar; and 191 in Quetta.

The UET has also announced the candidates, in case of any complaint about marking, may contact Entrance Test chief coordinator Prof Dr Salim Abid Tabassum within 10 days of the result announcement.
