KHUZDAR: Levies on Sunday seized heroin, hashish and other drugs from a car and arrested a suspected drug smuggler from the Baghbana area of Khuzdar district.
Levies Force signaled a suspected car to stop on a tip-off about smuggling of drugs in a car. During search of the vehicle, over 37 kilograms of heroin, 20 grams of Hashish and other drugs were found hidden in the car which were seized by personnel of the force.
Khuzdar Assistant Commissioner Abdul Majeed Sarparah said that the drug smuggler driving the car tried to escape, but the Levies Force personnel chased the car and forced it to stop.
The drug smuggler was identified as Amjad Iqbal who hails from the Washuk area of Balochistan. Further investigation is in progress.
