PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf activists belonging to different areas of Peshawar on Sunday held a protest demonstration outside the press club against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and demanded of Prime Minister Imran Khan to replace him with another leader.

The protesters led by Khalid Khan Khalil shouted slogans against the governor, saying that he was ignoring the ideological party workers, thus creating a sense of deprivation among them.

“We have time and again attempted to convey valuable suggestions to the party’s top leadership via the governor but he is least bothered to pay attention towards us,” complained Mr Khalil.

He said that people like Shah Farman were appointed on key government posts because of the hectic efforts of the party workers, but now the activists were ignored.

He said the governor had no sympathies with the party and the workers, and was serving his own interests.

He said the governor was bound to open the doors of the Governor House for the public and resolve their genuine demands.

He urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to take notice of the workers’ complaints and replace the governor with a senior leader.
