KARACHI: Pakistan Railways is introducing economy class in Jinnah Express from Tuesday. On the occasion the fare from Karachi to Lahore has also been slashed to half for the first day.

To celebrate the addition, Pakistan Railways has slashed the first day’s fare from Karachi to Lahore from the usual Rs1,850 to Rs950.

Jinnah Express, which is a Lahore to Karachi fast train with only Hyderabad, Rohri and Khanewal as its stops, did not have an economy class previously.

On the orders of Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, four economy class carriages are being added to the train from Tuesday onwards.
