WASHINGTON: The United States has welcomed the recent change in Saudi Arabia, congratulating Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia on his elevation as Crown Prince.
“The United States and Saudi Arabia have a long-standing and wide-reaching partnership, and we look forward to continuing our work with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his new role to defeat terrorism and improve our mutual security, stability, and prosperity,” said a statement issued by the US State Department.
“Together we will build on the strong, strategic foundation of counter-terrorism and security cooperation between our countries,” it added.
