KARACHI: During the holy month of Ramazan, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and microfinance banks (MFBs) will remain open from Monday to Thursday between 8am and 2:15pm without any break. On Fridays, the office hours will be from 8am to 1pm.

However, the business or banking hours for public dealing on Monday to Thursday will be from 8am to 1:45pm, whereas on Friday it will be from 8am to 12:30pm.

Holiday

Meanwhile, the SBP announced that it would remain closed for public dealings on May 29 for deduction of Zakat.

According to the APP, all banks, DFIs and MFBs will, therefore, also remain closed on May 29. However, all employees of these institutions will attend the office on the holiday.
