ISLAMABAD: Taking notice of the hardship being faced by legitimate Afghan visitors following the closure of the border with the country, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday asked the officials concerned to immediately resolve the visa issues of citizens of Afghanistan in Pakistan.

According to a statement issued here, the Peshawar Regional Passport Office has been authorised to extend the visas of Afghan citizens, on the directives of the minister.

“The basic purpose of this initiative is to solve their problems and facilitate those who have legally come to Pakistan,” it said.
